OUR TOP 5 THINGS TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE YOUR DESIGN CONSULTATION
Preparing for THE FIRST MEETING WITH your KITCHEN DESIGNER
If you want to start thinking about your new kitchen before meeting one of of our Design Specialists, then here’s our Top 5 things to get you started!
-
All our kitchens can slant to modern or classic looks whether German or British, but do you have a preference?
What finish would you like? Real timber, painted or laminate? Soft touch, matt, or gloss?
And what shape door? Flat or with some detail like a frame?
-
Appliances can often have a big influence on a kitchen’s layout, so it’s a good idea to make a list of things you would really love to include.
How many ovens? Separate fridge and fridge or combined. Presumably a dishwasher? Will your hob be induction or gas?
Will you have any free-standing appliances, or will they all be built-in?
-
How many bowls in your sink – one big one, one + a half bowl for rinsing, or two?
Do you have a material preference for the sink? Stainless steel, ceramic, or composite? And whereabouts would you like it in the room?
Standard tap? A pull-out hose? Would you to add the latest features such as boiling, filtered, or sparkling water?
-
We have a huge choice of colours which we can show you later. For now, it’s helpful to know if you have a preferred material.
Most of our customers choose an engineered stone, but we also supply plenty of seamless, granites and laminate worksurfaces, too.
Any firm thoughts on how will you finish the walls? We can match the worksurface or supply glass. Or will you arrange tiles?
-
Storage - we can help you decide on the type of units you need during your visit, but its handy if you have a think about what you have to store and how many drawers you might need.
Would you like any lighting? We have a huge choice of LED lighting. Where would you like the switches?
Waste and recycling bins – again we have a lot of options from two large bins to multiple compartments.
…AND FinallY
Don’t worry if you’re not sure where to start - that’s what we’re here for!
