Katherine’s new kitchen was installed as part of an extension project, so it was important to tie the new kitchen into the existing feel of the house while creating a natural new focal point. To do this, Katherine chose our Sutton cabinets in a stunning Autumn Blush colour. Inside the cabinets, rich Portland Oak wood provides a grounding contrast to the painted cabinets. This finish is carried across the drawers and cutlery insert in the kitchen, as well as the beautiful herringbone wooden flooring.

To complement the soft pink cabinetry, Katherine chose Wharf Seamless work surfaces in Patterned Stone, a pink-toned, subtly-textured finish. This includes a seamless integrated sink and draining board. A kitchen peninsula provides additional work surface space, as well as space for a stool and several integrated wine racks.

A selection of AEG, Zanussi and Bosch appliances were installed across the kitchen. A popular feature in European kitchens, kitchen design manager Kevin incorporated a bespoke eye-level dishwasher for the kitchen. This makes it less labour-intensive to load and unload the washer, reducing the risk of injury to the back by straining to lean down and reach the appliance. Katherine also chose a Bosch venting hob to draw cooking vapours down and away from the chef rather than up into a traditional cooker hood.
